A kick off meeting for the Hospital Selayang SISP project was held at the Selayang Hospital’s Auditorium on the 2 July 2004. Among some of the speakers in the meeting was Dr. Nor Akma, Deputy Director of Hospital Selayang, Dr Mohd Azrin Zubir from Oratis Sdn Bhd and Dr. Goh Hsien Ming from Amorphous Telehealth Sdn Bhd. A short presentation was conducted by Dr.Goh Hsien Ming, to brief the attendees on the overall objective and the planning phases of the SISP Project for Hospital Selayang. The meeting ended with a Q&A session for the project stakeholders.

Amorphous was engaged by Oratis Sdn Bhd and Radicare Sdn Bhd to provide a 3 month consultancy work to assist in the development of Strategic Information System Planning (SISP) for Hospital Selayang as commissioned by the Malaysian Ministry of Health. The SISPs framework for Hospital Selayang will be aligned with the framework proposed by The Malaysian Administrative and Modernisation Planning Unit (MAMPU). The development of a SISP framework is essential to outline the IT strategy that Hospital Selayang that should adopt in the next couple of years.
